My sister in law had a Chaser like that as her first car. They took zero care of it and it lasted forever. We still see it driving around Kelowna 18 years later..

We somehow have 3 of them here in town including a damn-near-pristine white sedan. But yeah before moving up here I hadn’t seen one in years.

I had one. Can’t remember if it was the DL or GL (whichever trim had the uglier quad headlights). It was not a fun car, although the dashboard looked awesome.

I’d propose to them, but I think they’re driving it out of necessity and living in a tent half the year. Love the car though.

I wouldn’t be so sure of that. There is a ton of money here. This town is full of millionaires that live in tents because they feel like it and never spend any money. The houses in my neoghborhood all cost over $350k and half of them have a rusty old piece of junk in the driveway. It’s like a badge of honor here to be tightwad. Median income in the county is top 10 in the US and something like $115k but you wouldn’t guess it driving around.   The skiers here are a weird breed too. At the hill today I also saw a crappy old VW van with a custom-made ski rack on the side holding brand new high end gear that was worth many times what the van was. I’m still trying to keep my head down and figure this place out.
